If you tried to access Paypal Monday and couldn’t it’s because the world’s largest online payment facility was offline for an hour due to “internal problems.”
The downtime began at 10:30 am Pacific Time which affected all users for an hour. Full restoration of services for all users was achieved 3:30 pm.
“I haven’t heard the absolute clear definition of what happened from the engineering team yet,” eBay spokesman Anuj Nayar said. “I can confirm that it was an internal problem, not an external problem.”
So whatever that “internal problem” is, Paypal probably doesn’t want us to know. Any major service experiences server outage once in a while. Even Internet giant Google had some glitches with their infrastructure before.
