In my book, multi-level marketing will always be a get-rich-quick scheme. And, in my book, there’s no such thing. My creed will always be, “Work smart and be money smart.”
However, I can’t deny the possibility of people actually getting rich from doing these. In fact, I know a few people who’ve done quite well with these.
Thing is, my reservations in joining one is anchored mostly on principle. I’ve done a bit of marketing and sales before and one key to be successful in such a field is your strong belief in the product or service that you’re selling.
Problem is, many of the current businesses that use the MLM selling model push poor quality products. It’s basically getting a group of poor schmucks to sell the product and get other poor schmucks to sell it just like they do. And it all starts with the line “try it for yourself.”
It’s just not my style.
