Like many people, I’ve had gone through the nasty bit of having to deal with two jobs at the same time to make ends meet and save a few extra bucks.

However, it sure is a stressful lifestyle having to deal with two jobs. Many people just can’t make it work, barely scraping by and work hard enough in both jobs not to get fired.

The key to being able to maintain at least a couple of jobs is effective management.

Schedule. The first key element here is to make your day be governed by the clock. Account for the time you need to spend working, your commute times, meal times, and time for yourself (important!). Settle into a rhythm so that you can work like clockwork.

Split tasks. I’ve done this pretty much living on my own so it was really tough having. Managing a household (even if you’re the only one in it) is a daunting task. If you’re married or living with someone be sure to split the chores.

Identify the better opportunity. There will always come a time when you will have to choose between those two jobs. Be sure to give more premium to the more stable and better paying.

Make it a means to an end. The goal is to achieve passive income. So don’t burn through your monthly income. Always set aside money. Build up your emergency fund then start investing.
