The recent Lundberg Survey says that price-at-the-pump of gas in the US has been fairly constant over the past couple of weeks. The price of one gallon of self-serve gas at $2.05 which is the same price as the average published in the previous survey.

The price of gas might not be at a real low compared to the past years but the price is now significantly lower per gallon compared to last year’s average. A gallon today is $1.42 cheaper. Price of gas usually climbs during summer due to a slightly different formulation and higher consumption but experts say that drastic price hikes aren’t likely to be seen.

The overall global economic outlook is keeping the prices of crude oil in check. Cheapest gas on the average can be had in Phoenix at $1.80 per gallon and the highest is up north in Anchorage at $2.45.
