A lot of Americans are still without jobs and with a recovery still uncertain, at least many can look the federal government for a bit of hope – they are expected to have openings for 273,000 positions for the next three years.
The government expects a lot of positions to be vacant as baby boomers are expected to retire and others are shifting out of federal service, this according to a the survey by the Partnership for Public service – a non-profit group who closely monitors federal agencies.
Positions will be available across fields. The Department of Veteran Affairs will have 48,000 openings by 2012. Another 55,000 will be hired for health service and another 52,000 will be hired s security and protection workers.
