What is the world coming to if capitalism is endangering babies?

Remember that huge recall of 1 million Maclaren umbrella strollers last month? A design flaw in the hinge mechanism posed a huge risk in cutting and even amputating the child’s fingers.

Now, it’s Dorel’s baby carriers that are currently under scruteny. 447,000 Dorel baby carriers are involved in another huge recall as 77 reports have been filed regarding the carrying handle coming loose. At least 3 babies have been reported to be injured.

The baby carrier doubles up as a car seat as well. Dorel claims that the product is safe to use as such and the recall only affects the handle.
