More reason for celebration form Apple as they continue to shake off the sales yips that plague the technology industry. All the other computer and technology manufacturers are struggling with sales drops but Apple, with their new iPhone 3G S, is even seeing a shortage in stock just a week after its launch.
The iPhone availability widget is back on the Apple website and it shows quite the shortage of the different iPhone variants all across the United States.
The widget was first seen last year when the 3G was released last summer. The widget re-appeared on the site last Friday when 29 out of Apple’s 257 stores started to report shortages. It provides customers an up-to-date availability guide to the stores in their state that still carry their chosen variant.
As of this posting many stores in all states now bear a red box across their store locations in the widget signifying that some variant have indeed sold out. Louisville branch – the only one in Kentucky – is officially sold out.
