Apple LogoYes. Ecomentality is big in Corporate America. Apple just quit the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in favor of the environment. And you think all the big players are just in there for the greed.

Apple’s beef with the organization stems from the Chamber’s opposition to the government’s environmental efforts in limiting greanhouse gases.

In a statement, Apple government affairs (yes, the big players have those) VP Catherine Novelli said, “We strongly object to the Chamber’s recent comments opposing the EPA’s effort to limit greenhouse gases. Apple supports regulating greenhouse gas emissions, and it is frustrating to find the Chamber at odds with us in this effort.”

The Chamber of Commerce represents around 3 million businesses but other organizations have also expressed their opposition against the Chamber’s stance. Nike, Pacific Gas and Electric, and Exelon has made similar moves.
